The professionals at the National Security Agency (NSA) have one common goal: to protect our nation. The mission requires a strong offense and a steadfast defense. The offense collects, processes and disseminates intelligence information derived from foreign signals for intelligence and counterintelligence purposes. The defense prevents adversaries from gaining access to sensitive classified national security information. Printing Support Specialists in the Directorate of Cybersecurity support the mission by planning, designing, operating, and maintaining printing programs and processes (including printing, quality assurance, binding, and packaging) to produce printed products and services. The responsibilities of a Printing Support Specialists at the NSA can include: - Working with customers to determine requirements and develop specifications for a wide variety of printing jobs - Operating and maintaining printing, binding, and packaging equipment - Operating industrial/production equipment, machinery, and tools such as die cutters, laminators, air compressors, and soldering equipment - Analyzing and addressing issues with printing/production technology and flow processes, while ensuring the security of the system - Developing, conducting, and maintaining quality assurance tests for all printing/production activities - Following safety and security procedures and practices when operating machinery, vehicles, or equipment
The ideal candidate is someone with a desire for continuous learning and strong problem-solving, communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills who is: - Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines - Well-organized and able to handle multiple assignments - Able to work effectively across several different functional areas in a collaborative environment - Willing to take the initiative - For some positions, physical requirements could include the ability to lift 40lbs, standing for extended periods, and personal protective equipment (e.g., safety shoes) - For some positions, screening for additional security requirements (i.e., routine physical testing, psychological examination)
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
Cryptographic Operations personnel at the National Security Agency(NSA) are a viable asset to our agency. Their support of the mission spans from developing and operating various systems, maintaining equipment, providing quality and reliable products to customers and resolving issues with printing/production technology and flow processes.
Salary Range: $25,500 - $63,267 (Entry/Developmental) *The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position. Entry is with a high school diploma or GED. Experience in production (e.g., printing, manufacturing, machine, and graphic arts) preferred Salary Range: $59,534 - $77,396 (Full Performance) *The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position. Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. Degree in any field is acceptable. Relevant experience must include basic computer skills (e.g., e-mail, web browsers, word processors, and presentation graphics) and/or production (e.g., printing, manufacturing, machine, and graphic arts). Formal or informal leadership experience is preferred.
