Job Description

In support of the collection of operational data to support SIGINT and Cybersecurity missions, Cryptologic Collection Professionals (Collection Managers, Collection Data Managers, Collection Officers, and Collection Targeting & Compliance Managers) ensure the timely delivery of collected operational data to customer databases via processing and distribution channels. Responsibilities include: - Collaborating with customers, collection managers, developers, and analysts to monitor and troubleshoot operational data processing paths - Identifying processing trends, new developments and customer requirements that may affect the access of collected operational data and/or the operational capabilities of existing and future collection and processing systems - Complying with requirements to protect customer data from inadvertent release to unauthorized consumers by filtering data and managing distribution tables and rules - Maintaining and providing metrics on forwarding and distribution of various types of collected operational data

Collection Management is the process of managing and organizing operational data from various sources of collection in support of SIGINT and Cybersecurity intelligence purposes. The NSA is looking to develop a highly talented cadre of individuals to ensure the efficiency of NSA's worldwide accesses through collaboration with collection architecture developers to sustain access to global communications.

The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Degree in any field is acceptable. ENTRY/DEVELOPMENTAL Entry is with a Bachelor's degree and no experience. High school diploma or GED plus 4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience may be considered. FULL PERFORMANCE Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience. High school diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience may be considered. SENIOR Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 4 year of relevant experience. High school diploma or GED plus 10 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience may be considered. EXPERT Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 7 year of relevant experience. High school diploma or GED plus 13 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 11 years of relevant experience may be considered. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE COLLECTION MANAGER ENTRY/DEVELOPMENTAL Relevant experience must be in signals intelligence (SIGINT) collection and/or analysis. Completion of military training in a relevant area such as Signals Collection or Analysis program will be considered towards the relevant experience requirement (i.e., a 24-week course will count as 6 months of experience). FULL PERFORMANCE, SENIOR, AND EXPERT Relevant experience must be in signals intelligence (SIGINT) collection, and/or analysis; and the collection management process. Completion of military training in a relevant area such as Signals Collection or Analysis program will be considered towards the relevant experience requirement (i.e., a 24-week course will count as 6 months of experience). COLLECTION DATA MANAGER ENTRY/DEVELOPMENTAL, FULL PERFORMANCE, SENIOR, AND EXPERT Relevant experience must be in data flow management for collection or database administration (e.g., developing, maintaining, troubleshooting). Other relevant experience may include experience in signals intelligence (SIGINT) collection or processing, systems administration, IT support, IT management, and/or application administration. Completion of military training in a relevant area (such as Signals Collection or Analysis program) will be considered towards the relevant experience requirement (i.e., a 24-week course will count as 6 months of experience). COLLECTION OFFICER ENTRY/DEVELOPMENTAL, FULL PERFORMANCE, SENIOR, AND EXPERT Relevant experience must be in signals intelligence (SIGINT) collection and/or analysis. Completion of military training in a relevant area such as Signals Collection or Analysis program will be considered towards the relevant experience requirement (i.e., a 24-week course will count as 6 months of experience). COLLECTION TARGETING AND COMPLIANCE MANAGER ENTRY/DEVELOPMENTAL, FULL PERFORMANCE, SENIOR, AND EXPERT Relevant experience must be in one or more of the following: policy and compliance, signals intelligence (SIGINT) collection, analysis or processing, and/or networking and telecommunications systems. Completion of military training in a relevant area (such as Signals Collection or Analysis program) will be considered towards the relevant experience requirement (i.e., a 24-week course will count as 6 months of experience).

Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position. Salary ranges vary by location and work level. This position is hiring for Maryland, Colorado, Hawaii, and Texas. Salary Range: $47,297 - $183,500 (Entry/Developmental, Full Performance, Senior, Expert) On-the job training, internal NSA courses, and external training will be made available based on the need and experience of the selectee. Typical work schedule is Monday - Friday, with basic 8 hr/day work requirements between 0600 and 1800 (flexible). *Candidates hired for a position in Hawaii may be eligible to receive an annual recruitment incentive, not to exceed three years.
