The National Security Agency (NSA) currently has opportunities at the Fort Gordon, Georgia location for highly motivated Designers to provide facilities design expertise, guidance, and support to the development and implementation of commercial solutions that enable capabilities in alignment with mission driven priorities. Our Designers are responsible for the look and feel of facilities, from an interiors perspective, across the entire NSA enterprise. As a Designer, you will be a valuable member of the design team that implements workspace solutions based on project requirements developed through customer interaction and data collection. As a Designer at NSA, responsibilities may include: - Facilities planning and space programming - Develop conceptual furniture layouts - Develop furniture layouts, design packages, cost estimates and project schedules - Development of designs for new and renovated commercial facilities. - Provide construction detailing - Conduct code analysis - Project management - Facility integration - Facility Operations updates - Facility Blueprints and CAD Files

The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. FULL PERFORMANCE: Degree must be in Architecture, Interior Design, Electrical, Mechanical or a related field (e.g., Construction Management and Space Planning). If qualifying with high school diploma, diploma must be in a relevant vocational/technical program. Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience may be considered. Relevant experience must be in facilities, space planning [to include: Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Architectural Barriers Act (ABA), International Building Code (IBC), and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 101-life safety codes], design, and/or construction documentation utilizing Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) (e.g., AutoCAD), and must include project management (preferably in construction, facilities, or space planning). National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ), Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications are preferred.

Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position. On-the job training, internal NSA courses, and external training will be made available based on the need and experience of the selectee. Salary Range: $69,107 - $107,680 (Full Performance) NSA Georgia location Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, with basic 8 hour/day work requirements between 0600 and 1800 (flexible).
