Job Description

- Think critically to analyze customer requirements, clarify outcomes, and manage expectations and timelines. - Develop communication plans for initiatives and key activities. - Leverage a full range of communication products and channels to execute communication plans. - Create, manage, and publish a variety of written content for talking points, executive messages, and articles. - Work with Strategic Communications colleagues to coordinate and integrate corporate and external communication plans, ensuring consistency of messaging. - Coach and advise others to create and deliver effective messages. - Measure communication product outcomes and routinely analyze return on investment

The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. ENTRY/DEVELOPMENTAL Entry is with a Bachelor's degree and no experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience may be considered. Degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Affairs, Political Science, Journalism, English, or Writing is preferred, although any degree is acceptable (some demonstrated experience in the IC/DoD or in communications/public affairs is required if degree is not related). Relevant experience must be in the IC/DoD or in a communications or public affairs related area (e.g., writing for a college newspaper, liaison experience, or marketing). FULL PERFORMANCE Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree and no experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience may be considered. Degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Affairs, Political Science, Journalism, English, or Writing is preferred, although any degree is acceptable (some demonstrated experience in communication or public affairs is required if degree is not related). Relevant experience must be in the IC/DoD or in a Communications or public affairs related area (e.g., writing, marketing, or public relations). SENIOR Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 10 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience may be considered. Degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Affairs, Political Science, Journalism, English, or Writing is preferred, although any degree is acceptable. Relevant experience must be in a communications or public affairs-related area (e.g., writing, marketing or public relations). Some DoD/IC experience is preferred.

Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position. Salary ranges vary by work level. Salary Range: $53,105 - $172,075 (Entry/Developmental, Full Performance, Senior) On-the-job training. Internal NSA courses and external training will be made available based on the need and experience of the selectee. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, with basic 8 hour/day work requirement between 0600 and 1800 (flexible). Additional hours may be required.
