NSA Overview The professionals at the National Security Agency (NSA) have one common goal - to protect our nation. The mission requires a strong offense and a steadfast defense. The offense collects, processes and disseminates intelligence information derived from foreign signals for intelligence and counterintelligence purposes. The defense prevents adversaries from gaining access to sensitive of classified national security information. Description of Position General Facilities Service officers - Responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, modification, design, construction, and inspection of Agency's facilities. Determine budget and project funding requirements for physical infrastructure, utilities, roadways, and surrounding grounds and oversees the work in those areas performed by a variety of trades, labor employees, and/or contractors. Develop or review options available for the provision of facilities services and interprets available policies and regulations to select the most appropriate option, or to develop a unique solution. Conduct site inspections and evaluations to validate modification requests and to determine the means and methods to fulfill the requests. Prepare building designs and coordinate the utilization of buildings, utilities, and storage operations (e.g., determine the location of furniture, equipment, and hazardous materials). Work involves ensuring that facility and associated utility systems are designed, constructed, operated, and maintained in a manner that is consistent with all compliance, certification, and safety standards. Specific duties for the FCC assignment - FCC Operators may be placed in a Mechanical System operator or Electrical Systems operator position depending on the qualifications of the applicant and the need of the FCC. The Facilities Control Center is a 24-hour Facilities Watch office responsible for monitoring and operating the Chilled Water and Electrical distribution systems at the NSA complex. In addition, the Control center is tasked with monitoring the condition of all other facilities systems during scheduled and unscheduled outages, construction projects and activities that place the facility in an abnormal condition.

Salary Range: $72,030.00 - $112,240.00 (Full Performance) *The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position. Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience may be considered. Degree must be in a Construction or related field (e.g., Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Design, Engineering, Space Planning, and Interior Design) or a Business related field (e.g., Economics, Marketing, Accounting, Business Administration, and Finance) or Information Technology or related field. Relevant experience must be in operation, maintenance, repair, modification, design, construction, and/or inspection of facilities, and include serving either as a contracting representative, project manager (preferably in facilities), or team lead/supervisor OR having technical expertise in a facilities specialty (e.g., chilled water, electrical power, indoor air, outage coordination). Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.

Monday - Friday, with basic 8hr/day work requirements between 0600 and 1800 (flexible). On-the-job training, Internal NSA courses, and external training will be made available based on the need and experience of the selectee. Shift work and weekend work required - Days, Evenings and Mids - Rotating and Fixed shifts may be offered/available.
