NSA Overview The professionals at the National Security Agency (NSA) have one common goal: to protect our nation. The mission requires a strong offense and a steadfast defense. The offense collects, processes and disseminates intelligence information derived from foreign signals for intelligence and counterintelligence purposes. The defense prevents adversaries from gaining access to sensitive classified national security information. Cryptologic Engagement Officers represent NSA or its subordinate organizations in interactions with the DoD, Intelligence Community, Industry and foreign partners. Description of the Position Cryptologic Engagement Officer's responsibilities include: - Developing, nurturing, and/or negotiating relationships with the DoD, Intelligence Community, Industry and foreign partners. - Operating in a collaborative and responsive environment, maximizing dynamic partner capabilities. - Assessing stakeholder needs and identifying capabilities to address those needs. - Providing timely and effective support and information sharing within appropriate legal authorities. - Identifying the internal and external politics that impact the work of the organization and responding accordingly.
Do you have relevant work experience that includes research, analyses, writing/editing, business/administrative work or managing people of projects? NSA has numerous positions such as Staff Officers, Enabling Support Specialists and Program/Project Directors.
Salary Range: $60,129 - $78,167 (Entry/Developmental) *The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position. Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 6 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position. Degree in any area is acceptable. Relevant experience must be in one of the following: (a) an area directly related to NSA mission (e.g., collection, intelligence, and cryptologic); (b) NSA/IC/DOD mission support; (c) NSA/IC/DOD inter-agency support, and/or d) NSA-relevant industry, academic, or governmental entities. External engagement/collaboration experience (e.g., participation in cross-Agency working groups, JDA, field assignment, external customer support) within the DoD or IC is preferred. Salary Range: $72,750 - $113,362 (Full Performance) *The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position. Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree plus 1 year of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 8 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position. Degree in any area is acceptable. Salary Range: $103,690 - $159,286 (Senior) *The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 10 years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
